Hey, what's up, COSTA DA MORTE family! We're bringing you a special edition for lovers of Galician culture and history!
This work of art merges the monument "A Ferida" in Muxía and the poem "Negra Sombra" by Rosalía de Castro. This stone monument is carved in granite, stands 11 meters tall, and weighs 400 tons. It symbolizes the bleeding wound left by the Prestige oil tanker disaster in 2002. This event shook Galicia and all of Spain, and to this day, it remains a reminder of the ecological tragedy that the area suffered. But it wasn't all pain; there was also solidarity and fight. Galicians and people from all over the world volunteered to clean up the coast.
